KANGPOKPI, Feb 18: The Joint Action Committee on Kadangband killing five days economic blockade in all national highways of the state has been peacefully effective along National Highways 2 today.
More than 20 loaded trucks have been stranded at Kangpokpi Police gate while some loaded vehicles were also reportedly stranded at Mao gate and Senapati as well as in Taxation, Hengbung.
A reliable source from the JAC said that a meeting with the Kuki civil bodies has been conveyed this evening at Imphal to sort out further course of action and to intensify the blockade.
There is no report of any untoward incident till filing of this report.
