KANGPOKPI, March 28: In today`™s competitive world education is a vital necessity for man as much as food, clothing, and shelter asserted Thangso Baite, Member of Parliament (Outer Manipur) before adding that it is the key factor for the success in every walk of life for the individual as much for the society as whole.
The Outer Manipur MP was speaking at Emmanuel Higher Secondary Education, Haipi 19th Foundation Day celebration at the School Auditorium today as Chief Guest.
He continued that education is the solution of any problem and it is the only education which promotes good habits, values and awareness towards anything like terrorism, corruption and much more while adding that education is also the only fundamental way by which a desired change and uplift in the society can be taken into effect.
Stressing the importance of peace in the society Thangso Baite lamented that due to frequent disturbances of peace and tranquillity in Manipur we have came across an ample of bitter experiences.
Therefore, it is time for the people of Manipur to come forward to eschew violent and struggle to attain the status of a developed society peacefully and for that purpose proper education and apt guidance for the younger generation is highly needed added the MP.
Enthusiastically talking about the urgent needs of quality education in the state MP Thangso Baite further stated that education spreads awareness in society of the benefits of making everyone good social beings. Education also removes the blanket of ignorance and help people in knowing their fundamental rights while it also help in imparting moral values which is missing in our youth and needs to be addressed carefully for creating a good society, the MP further said.
Visibly impressed with the well organized Emmanuel School, Thangso Baite opined that the school will be the most promising and well established educational institute in the area.
`Education brings over all sustainable development and it is an important factor which contributes in social harmony and peace`, asserted Nemcha Kipgen while adding that education also helps us in participating in the ongoing changes and developments and it is the one that is doing something constructive in our near future.
The lady MLA who graced the occasion as Guest of Honour continued that with education people become more responsible and informed citizens and have a voice in politics and society, which is essential for sustaining democracy.
Therefore, a person without education is incomplete said the MLA who also pointed out that good education makes man good citizen, right thinker and a correct decision`“maker.
Lauding Dr. K. Kipgen, founder of Emmanuel Hr. Sec. School, Haipi for his tireless efforts in bringing good educational institution in the area MLA Nemcha Kipgen said that the school is an excellent innovation with up to date teaching technologies, well required for any good and advance education facility.
Founding Day Award sponsored by the teaching and non-teaching staffs of the schools was distributed to some students who excelled in various fields during the academic session 2014 and some teaching staffs were also awarded in recognition of their efforts and struggles for the development of the school and student as well.
Organized annually to encourage the student in their educational performance the celebration function was also attended by Hatkhoneng Baite, wife of MP Thangso Baite; Thangkam Misao, MDC, ADC Sadar Hills; Khaimang Chongloi, General Secretary, Kuki Inpi Manipur; Thangjakhup, Special Contractor; Dr. K. Kipgen, Founder EMHHS and TK. Siema, Chairman EMHHS apart from various chiefs, parents/guardian, student community, teaching and non-teaching staffs of EMHHS.
The dignitaries also visit the school laboratory of Biology, Chemistry, Physic and Computer room where internationally branded technology infrastructure like N-Computing facilities has been installed.
Various cultural dances from different communities from the student and solo from various prominent Kuki Gospel artiste marked the occasion.
