A School Heath Examination Camp was organized by 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) at Thanai Memorial Training Institute of Chandel district. During the camp approx 100 students from class nursery to Xth were examined for common ailment like Respiratory Tract Infection, skin diseases, worm infatuation, ENT problems and dental caries. The students were also advised to maintain personal hygiene, sanitation and take balanced diet. The students and teachers of the school were provided free medicines.
37 AR of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) has gave emergency trauma care to 24 yr old civilian from Nakong village on 13 Dec 2011 who had fallen from electric pole while laying new line in Nakong village area. Individual was brought in extreme agonic state to unit hospital from Nakong village near Joupi in the evening. He had received severe injuries in groin and abdominal area. Immediate surgical repair near Lt side of groin was done as some of viscera evaginated out of the body. Patient was relieved of excruciating pain with help of analgesics & resuscitated with IV fluids and then reffered for further treatment to Imphal.
