New Delhi, Jan 20: The Special Judge, AHD, CBI, Ranchi sentenced 41 accused persons in one of the Fodder Scam Cases on 18.1.2012. Earlier, 20 accused persons were sentenced on 16.1.2012.
The 41 accused persons sentenced on 18.01.2012 are; Dr.Ram Prakash, the then Drawing and Disbursing Officer, DAHO, Jamshedpur to undergo five years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Five lakh; Dr.Shiv Nandan Prasad, the then Assistant, Director(Poultry), Poultry Firm, Golpahari, Jamshedpur to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Two lakh; Dr.Avdesh Kumar, the then Manager(Piggery Firm), Pig Development Unit, Golpahari, Jamshedpur to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Two lakh; Dr.Rakesh Kumar, the then T.V.O(Mobile), O/o DAHO, Jamshedpur to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Two lakh; Dr.R.K.Sharma, the then T.V.O(Mobile), O/o DAHO to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Two lakh; Dr.Vijay Pratap Singh, the then SAHO, Sadar, Jamshedpur to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Two lakh; Dr.Uday Shankar, the then Manager(Piggery), O/o DAHO, Jamshedpur to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Two lakh; Ranjit Singh, the then Treasury Officer, Jamshedpur to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Two lakh; Bachhu Singh, the then Head Accountant, Govt. In this case, chargesheet was filed against a total of 73 accused persons for fraudulent withdrawal of Rs.14,40,95, 401/- from Jamshedpur Treasury during the Financial Year 1991-95 on the basis of forged budget allotment/sub-allotment letters and false bills. The false bills were either raised without effecting any supply or after making partial supply of poultry feed and vet medicines to Animal Husbandry Department.
Out of 73 chargesheeted persons, five accused persons died during trial; four accused persons were made approvers; one accused Pramod Kumar Jaiswal (Supplier) was convicted earlier after he pleaded guilty and one accused person, namely Sateyendra Kumar has been absconding. One accused R.G.Sharma was discharged during trial. Thus, on the day of judgement, a total of 61 accused persons were facing trial. All the 61 accused persons have been convicted on 16.01.2012.
Earlier, 20 accused persons were sentenced on 16.01.2012 to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment of one to three years with a fine varying from Rs.30,000/- to Rs.3,00,000/- in this case. The 20 accused persons sentenced were, Anant Pandey, the then Assistant in the office of DAHO to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Eighty thousand; Kodai Ram, the then Accountant in the office of the DAHO to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Eighty thousand; A.K.Pathak, the then Assistant in the office of DAHO to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Eighty thousand; Sairoon Nisha, Supplier/Partner of M/s Chhotanagpur Cattle Food Supply Co. to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.3 lakh; Sanjay Sinha, Supplier/Proprietor of M/s Sanjay Sinha to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Sixty thousand; Rajendra Kumar Harit, Supplier/Proprietor of M/s Aporajita Enterprises to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.1.5 lakh; Ram Nandan Singh, Supplier/Proprietor of M/s Agrovet Sales & Services to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.1.5 lakh; Umesh Dubey, Supplier/Proprietor of M/s Janta Veterinary, Ranchi to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.1.5 lakh; Ram Avtar Sharma, Supplier/ Proprietor of M/s Supplier M/s Tirupati Agency to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a total fine of Rs.Sixty thousand; Dr.Ranjit Kumar Mishra, Supplier/Director of M/s Indian Laboratories Pvt. This is 39th case so far disposed off from trial by the Special Court at Ranchi.
