Personnel Imphal East district police destroyed poppy plantation at Hangoipat under Sagolmang police station today evening. Sources said the poppy plantation was destroyed after a team of Imphal East district police led by Additional SP (Operation) Imphal East, K Meghachandra and Inspector B Lunthang Vaiphei carried out monitoring of polling stations in Imphal East district in connection with the forthcoming State Assembly election.
