Imphal, Jul 1: The District Sports Association Bishnupur has imposed a ban on two clubs: YSWA Utlou and TRUGPU Nambol—for non-compliance and absence from participation in tournament—after a meeting of the executive council of the association, said a statement.
The All Manipur Football Association had penalised YSWA Utlou with an amount of Rs 30,000 for failing to field a home match in November 2016 but the latter did not pay heed to the fine, added the statement and said that the YSWA will also not be allowed to participate in the 1st L Itomcha Memorial Super Division Football League 2017.
Meanwhile, the TRUGPU Nambol had failed to turn up for participation in the L Itomcha Football League and the club has been debarred from participating in District Football League of DSA Bishnupur.
With the ouster of TRUGPU, DSA Bishnupur has decided to allow the participation of GMC Phubala to fill up the number of teams for the league to meet the provisions of the Conduct Rules, the statement concluded.
