Bishnupur: In connection with the ensuing Panchayat election, the seat reservation of SC/ST, SC/ST (women) and women for Pradhan and members of 24 Gram Panchayat in Bishnupur district were announced through lottery today.
The lottery was presided by DC, Bishnupur Bobby Waikhom and attended by district level SDOs, BDOs, Pradhan and officials concerned.
During the lottery, eight Gram Panchayat namely Leimapokpam Gram Panchayat, Toubul Gram Panchayat, Khoijuman Kwasiphai Gram Panchayat, Thinungei Gram Panchayat, Torbung Gram Panchayat, Wangoo Gram Panchayat, Boryangbi Gram Panchayat and Kwakta Gram Panchayat were drawn in providing reservation for women.
