The workers of Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) launched indefinite cease-work strike against alleged neglect of the department.

Secretary of ID (1), Nityaipat Chuthek centre, Landeibam Vikas said that the agitation started on September 13, but “this is intensifying our agitation to pressurise the present government and the power department.”

He further said that “it seems the higher officials are disinterested in our demands, salary is not disbursed on time and many other things have angered the staffs.”

Sit-in-protest was staged in various distribution channels like Nityaipat Chuthek, Khuman Lampak, Singjamei and Lamphel.
