One Maruti van had an accident by hitting the wood logs placed in a place near New Monjang village today afternoon around 2:15 pm. Five persons inside the van were injured and they were admitted at Moreh hospital.
The injured persons were identified as, W. Rakesh (27), son of W. Jugin of Thangmeiband Dewan Leikai, Keisham Romio (28), son of K. Babutombi of Chanam Sandrok, Laishram Santosh (28), son of L. Ibungo of Sekmaijin Mamang Leikai, Md. Sadam (26), son of Md. Abdul Kalam of Moreh ward no. 8 and L. Thoungamba (25), son of L. Inaocha of Wabagai Hiyanglam. The registration number of the van is SK-01T 4784.
According to the driver of the van, the accident occurred due to brake failure.
