The governor of Manipur, Najma Heptulla has conveyed her warm greetings to the people of Manipur, especially to the brave mothers on the auspicious occasion of ‘Nupi Lan’ on December 12.
The governor stated that she felt proud of the courage, responsibility and sacrificial spirit of the brave women of Manipur who fought in the ‘Nupi Lan’ against the monopolistic policies of the colonial rule.
Manipuri women hold a key position in the social and economic activities of the state even in the present days, said the governor.
She further urged all the people of the state irrespective of caste, creed and religion to emulate the sacrificial spirit of the brave women and strive collectively to bring the state in the path of peace and development.
