Driver and a second driver of a bus plying between Imphal and Sugnu were killed and other passengers received injuries when the bus met a self accident at Kakching Khunou Sora chingjin this morning around 7.15 a.m. The driver of the ill-fated bus who has been picked up by the police is identified as Yengkhom Jayenta and the deceased who was the handy man of the bus is identified as Shyam from Sugnu.
The accident took place due to the broken of main bearing.
These injured were rushed to different hospitals.
In another incident one Naorem Iboton (70) of Kakching Khunyai Leikai received serious injuries when the Maruti Van he was travelling collided with a Tata Magic near Leibaklei Gas Agency, Kakching today around 11 a.m.
