MNS: Discovering the movement of UG cadres in Ward No 7, troops of 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation in the area and apprehended one UPPK cadre on 21 Jun 2012. The apprehendee was identified as SS Pvt Yumnam Bimol Chand Meitei, 43 yrs, s/o Late Yumnam Ningthemjou Meitei, r/o Chengdong Leikai, ward No 7, Moreh, chandeldist. 01x 9 mm Pistol with Mag and 02 Live rounds of 9mm was recovered from the apprehendee who alongwith recovery was handed over to Imphal West Police station.
In another incident, Troops of 15 Assam Rifles and 36 Assam Rifles of 9 & 26 Sector respectively under HQ IGAR(S) launched joint operation in Khangabok Part-II & III and apprehended one KCP and one PLA cadre on 22 Jun 2012.
The apprehendees were identified as Laishramam Shyam Kishore Singh, r/o Khangabok Part II, Thoubal and Khundrakpam Shyam alias Kanhai, 37 yrs, s/o Late Kh Angou Singh, r/o Khangabok Part III, Thoubal, 02 x 7.65 mm Pistol with Mag and 03 live rounds of 7.65 was recovered from the apprehendees who alongwith recoveries handed over to Thoubal Police.
