Imphal, Oct 8 : Five Congress legislators of the state were on Monday sworn in as Parliamentary Secretaries during a simple ceremony held at the Cabinet Hall of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here. Chief Minister Okram Ibobi administered the oath of office and secrecy to the MLAs.
Those sworn in were K Meghachandra, Wangkhem contituency MLA; M Prithiviraj, Moirang constituency MLA; Victor Keishing, Phungyar constituency MLA; Vungzagin Valte, Thanlon constituency MLA and Md Amin Shah, Kshetrigao MLA.
At the oath-taking ceremony, Home Minister Gaikhangam and other ministers including Th Devendra, Phungzathang Tonsing, Ngamthang Haokip, I Hemochandra, Francis Ngajokpa, M Okendro, Dr Kh Ratan, Md Nasir, Kumari AK Mirabai, Manipur Assembly Speaker Th Lokeshore, Hill Areas Committee Chairman Chaltonlien Amo, MLAs T Mangibabu and s Bira, and Chief Secretary DS Poonia were present.
