IMPHAL, February 11: Bharatiya Janata Party, Manipur Pradesh today observed the Samarpan Diwas in commemoration of Pandit Deendayal Upadhaya and Modhumangol Sharma. The commemoration program was held at BJP State Head office at Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal. The program was graced by president BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Chaoba Singh was also attended by BJP party officials.
Floral tribute were paid to the portrait of the both the martyrs by the executive and members of the BJP. As part of the program, donor cards were also distributed to the blood donor which was held on January 12 2013 organized by the BJP youth wing.
It may be mentioned that both BJP leaders demised on same day on 11 February. Pandit Deendayal Upadhaya expired on Feb 11 1968 and Modhumangol Sharma expired on Feb 11 1995.
