Imphal Apr 28 UNA : The failed bomb attack at the residence of state IFCD minister on April 26 last was strongly condemned by Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) and Kuki Students’ Organisation (GHQ).
In a joint statement signed by information and publicity secretary DM Touthang of KIM said “Kukis are generally peace loving citizens” and the two bodies of the Kuki tribe stand for non-communal peaceful co-existence and the justice for all termed the bomb attacked incidence as very unfortunate and the anti-social activity since the attacked is due to wanton/monetary demand or the otherwise.
The statement further appealed to all, particularly to the perpetrator, not to resorts to such terrorist activity/crimes in a public places and the targeting the life of public leader due to wanton/monetary demand as it is against humanity and only creating enmity and disparity among the community which further leading to the loose of irreparable lives/assets in the society and the state as a whole.
On April 26 evening, suspected militants launched a hand grenade attacked at the government allotted quarter of state IFCD minister Ngamthang Haokip. The unexploded bomb was later defused safely and disposed off later by personnel of the state police bomb detection and disposal squad on the same day.
