IMPHAL, May 7: The Konung Mamang Apunba Lup staged a sit in protest today at the Palace compound against the alleged life attempt on the Chairperson, Thoubal Child Welfare Committee, Mala Lisham on May 4 at Thoubal Haokha Makha Leikai.
It may be reminded that the accused identified as Md Basir Ahmad, son of Rahimuddin of Hiyanthang has been remanded to 10 days of police custody.
The protestors also condemned the incident and demanded action against the accused.
