Student bodies had agitated along the highway in demand of school infrastructure for primary and secondary schools of the sub-division; however, the agitation was suspended after the student bodies signed an MoU with government officials on October 25, 2013 in the presence of the state Education minister.
During the meeting with the student bodies, the minister had assured to look into the demands of the students by November 12, the student leaders lamented before adding that the assurance is yet to be translated into action.
It is worth mentioning that the seven point MoU was signed jointly by Education director, H Dellep Singh, deputy secretary H mathang and additional director Ranjan Yumnam in front of the Education minister.
