IMPHAL, November 15: The 8th Foundation Day of the Federation of Regional Indigenous Societies, FREINDS was today held at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul Imphal at 10:30 am.
Sapamcha Jadumani, the president of FREINDS mentioned that the FREINDS was established for implementation Inner Line Permit in Manipur in the year 2005.

The state Government to put more pressure to New Delhi on the re-introduction of ILP in the state, the president pressed adding that mere implementation of ILP cannot shape the society until and unless the work culture and national spirit have not established in the state.
During the anniversary function, more than 36 mothers who have the most children held under the theme “Big Family is a Happy Family” and 15 indigenous barbers and cobblers were honoured on the occasion.
General Secretary of the Society Joy Chingakham and its legal advisors Mutum Gourahari and Thoudam Manihar were also present during the function and delivered on the need of implementation of ILP in Manipur.
