CCPUR, Dec 18: The Lalputhluaii Foundation School, one of the oldest and most productive school of Lamka town, today held its Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Day, at its campus at Bungmual, Lamka.
Today’s function also marked the end of the academic session for 2013 with the final results of the final exams declared.
DC of CCPur Jacintha Lazarus attended the function as chief guest, while Maniram Sharma addl DC and Pauli Deng attended as guests of honour.
The school has been observing the day annually.
The main highlight of the day was a power point presentation by the LFS Eco-Club highlighting the degrading condition of the Lanva River which is the source of drinking water for the Lamka town.
Through the PPP, the club showed how people have been polluting and misusing the water by throwing waste products in the water.
Students who excel in various subjects including Manipuri, Hindi, Social Science, Practical Science, were felicitated.
The T Vumkhothang Memorial award for LFP BSEM topper 2013 was also given out during the function.
