BISHNUPUR, December 20: Demanding implementation of the 6th pay commission for the employees of the municipal councils of Manipur, staff of the Moirang Municipal Council has today organized a sit in protest in front of the their office as a part of the ongoing cease work strike.
During the sit in protest, Hemam Bimol, revenue inspector of the Moirang Municipal Council said to IFP that non implementation of 6th pay commission to the municipal council is an ill treatment of the staffs of the various municipal councils while it has been provided to other government employees of the state. He further demanded to treat all employees equally by the government of Manipur adding that the cease work strike will continue until and unless their demand is not fulfilled.
