IMPHAL, August 13: Post mortem conducted on the body of the 40 Assam Rifles havildar found dead inside his barrack yesterday, has revealed that his private parts had been severed.

IMPHAL, August 13: Post mortem conducted on the body of the 40 Assam Rifles havildar found dead inside his barrack yesterday, has revealed that his private parts had been severed.

Md Ahmed Ali, 34, s/o late Md Amzad Ali of Thoubal Phoudel Mayai Leikai (Hav. NO G-412217) was found dead suspiciously inside his barrack at the 40 AR transit camp, Minuthong yesterday around 1pm.

Post mortem was conducted today at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences under full video coverage and in the presence of executive magistrate, as requested by the bereaved family.

The family had raised their suspicion on the circumstances surrounding his death.

It may be recalled that the bereaved family reported that bruise mark were found on his mark on his neck, wrist and leg.

The AR authority reportedly rushed him to Raj Medicity but he was declared brought death.

Meanwhile, reliable sources informed that the AR authority have identified four suspects behind the gruesome murder however the report is yet to be confirm with the authority maintaining their silence so far.

The sources further speculated that Ahmed might have been killed on the night of August 11 adding that the deceased was transferred from Dimapur three months back
