Language Day held all over State

Tbl/Jiri, Aug 20 :The 25th Manipuri Language Day was observed in different parts of Thoubal district today in commemoration of the inclusion of Manipuri language in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution, our correspondent reports.
Patriotic Writers’ Forum, Manipur observed the day at MMRC, Khangabok and Unity Park. Like every year, the forum distributed Literary Awards to Manipuri writers at the function today.

Manipur Language Day Celebration Committee is organising the 25th Manipur Language Day on August 20 at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound. The celebration with the theme ‘Manipuri Lol Bharatki Classical Lol Oihansi” will have Paonam Gunindro Singh of Manipur University as the resource person, said the Committee.
