After a brief diplomatic tango necessitated to settle the question of who withdrew its ground troops first – India or China – it is now public knowledge that both sides agreed to simultaneously withdraw from the Doklam region. India withdrew first, but only after it was convinced that China has fully aborted its road-building program in the disputed region. While Chinese media will continue to sell the narrative to its dark web that India unilaterally withdrew from the Doklam plateau, most neutral observers commend the way India and Bhutan jointly stood their ground in the face of Chinese provocations.
