IMPHAL, Aug 25: A woman namely Kadiguilu (60) , w/o Tamu, resident of Haochong village was bitten by venomous snake today. Her husband approached the Kangchup company for help as there was no medical facilities available in the nearby area for such an emergency. The company swung into action and the snake bite victim was immediately evacuated to Battalion Headquarters in Noney, wherein, prompt medical help saved her life, claimed a press release of PIB Defence.

IMPHAL, Aug 10 : Jwalamukhi Battalion under the aegis of Senapati Brigade of Red Shield Division in its continuous efforts to provide aid and assistance to the local populace saved a snake bite victim namely Tangamliu (56) w/o Raisabou of Thonglang Atongba village, Kangpokpi district on August 7.
A press release issued by PIB Defence said the victim was provided first aid by the medical team of Assam Rifles Battalion and was later evacuated to District Hospital Senapati.
The villagers and the family members expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the effort of the security forces for saving the life, it said.
