Imphal, Jul 23 : The State Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament for Under-14 boys and Under-17 boys and girls, organised by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS), Government of Manipur from July 28 to August 2 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Practice Ground and Artificial Ground.
Altogether 11 teams – nine districts and two sub-divisions will participate in the tournament, said a press release issued by YAS, Government of Manipur. The winning team will represent the State in the All India Tournament to be held in September/October at New Delhi, added the statement.

Imphal, Jul 21 : More efforts will be put in training to be an International level swimmer, assured Yaiphabi Thoudam who clinched a gold medal in the girl’s Group-4 50 m backstroke competition at Glenmark Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship held from June 29 to July 2 at Bangalore.
Currently studying Class 6 at Unacco School, Khongman, Yaiphabi Thoudam started swimming since she was in Class 1 with the help of her uncle Deva. In 2011 she joined a swimming class under the supervision of coach T Thoiba at Sanjenthong Swimming Pool.
