10 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Loktak brigade of Red Shield Division today provided medical aid to five accident victims at COB Tupul. A TATA 207 travelling from village Charoichakotlong I carrying about 20 persons to Noney overturned on the track between Lamdingmei and Tupul around noon. The vehicle was taking person to the Congress Workers conference held at Noney today.
A quick reaction team of 10 AR rushed on receipt of information on the accident and provided first aid and evacuated the injured persons to Tupul. The victims were then moved to Imphal .
