Imphal, May 2: Discovering the movement of UG cadres in Kakching Wairi Leisangthem Pareng, troops of 27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector and 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched joint operation in the area and apprehended one PLA cadre on 01 May 2012. The apprehendee was identified as No 1329 SS Lt Raj Kumar Moirengthem alias Gojen, 41 yrs, s/o Late Moirengthem Mangijao,r/o Kakching Wairi Leisangthem Pareng,Thoubal district. One 9 mm Pistol with magazine and three 9mm live rounds was recovered from the apprehendee who alongwith recovery was handed over to Kakching Police station.
In yet another incident,troops of 28 Assam Rifles and 43 Assam Rifles HQ IGAR (South) launched joint operation in Naharup and apprehended one PREPAK OGW on 01 May 2012. The apprehendee was identified as Moirengthem Lokendro alias Thoibi,36 yrs, s/o Moirengthem Narsingh,r/o Kongba Nongthongbum and was handed over to Porompat Police station.
