IMPHAL, May 4: The 15 day training of trainers in the discipline of Diving concluded today with a closing function held at VIP Lounge of Swimming pool, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal.
The closing function was attended by S Nirmalata Devi, DYASO (I/E), department of YAS, Government of Manipur, Dr O Nobo Singh, president, Manipur Swimming Association and T Purnachandra Singh, Asst Director, Department of YAS, Government of Manipur as the chief guest, president and guest of honor respectively.
Briefing report of the training program Mayur Vyas , chief coach, Diving Swimming Federation of India, Mumbai said that Manipur has lot of potential in the field of diving and also Manipur is dominating in this field comparing with other states of India. With a little more appreciation and effort from the authorities and divers, Manipur can even represent India for the Olympics, he added.
The training was conducted by Chief Coach Mayur Vyas, Diving Swimming Federation of India, where 20 trainees took part in the training program.
