Mr Manggoulen Misao S/o Thongkam Misao MDC of Saikul DCC, a 4th Semester history student was released from the clutches of his abductors at approximate 2330 hr on 05 Jul 2012. The abductors were tracked by a joint team of 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector and SP Imphal East. The kidnappers reportedly belonged to KRA (U) faction and had demanded a hefty ransom. Further efforts to nab the culprits is on.
