Imphal, Aug 3 UNA : The KSO General Headquarters took due cognizance of the grievances felt by candidates in the recruitment for 243 posts of Sub-Inspector in the home department. The delay in the recruitment process is a matter of great concern for the student organization. It is to be noted that fates of students are hanging in the balance because of the government’s indecisiveness to bring the recruitment process to its conclusive end.
The release further said it has come to its knowledge that the number of successful candidates declared for viva-voce was not in synch with the existing government’s recruitment norms and regulations in the ratio of 1:3. The department had declared 445 candidates as eligible for viva-voce as against the 729 candidates it should have declared eligible for the 243 vacant posts as per information culled from a reliable source.
It also mentioned that through this communiqué the KSO demands that the government should make amend of this oversight and further declared 284 numbers of candidates for the viva-voce in order to make up the shortfall.
Further the KSO also urged other likeminded students’ organizations to take up the case as it concerns the welfare of students who had labored so hard to have the chance to the serve the people. Many qualified and deserving candidates could make the cut for viva-voce hurling allegation of some irregularities in the home department. The KSO further adviced the recruiting authority to maintain transparency so as to avert any scandalous situation. The government must avoid this kind of scandalous exercises in future recruitment process in any department under the state government.
Failure to comply with this demand for declaring additional 284 candidates for viva-voce may invite stringent actions from the KSO which will not be in the interest of the government. Hence, there shall not be any viva-voce for the 243 Sub-Inspector posts until and unless this demand of the KSO is favorably taken into consideration, the release issued by SASANG VAIPHEI, General Secretary, KSO General Headquarters said.
