Hindi Divas Celebrated

MNS: With the rest of the country Manipur is celebrating Hindi Pakhora (Hindi fortnight celebration) and Hindi Divas celebration since 14th to 28th of this month. All the Central Government offices, civil and uniform are celebrating Hindi divas.
Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Imphal unit, celebrated the Hindi Divas at its office premises today with an aim to encourage the national language.
Mr. Fateh Bahdur Singh, Hindi Pradhyapak, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Accountant Gerneral Office, Babupara, Imphal who was the Chief Guest of the celebration explained the importance of national language. He said Hindi language played a vital role in national integration and communal harmony of the country. It is a bridge of all us, he added. Talking in Hindi language, discussion on important of Hindi and signed the Attendance Register in Hindi were the other highlights of the celebration.

CBI SI held

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested its Sub Inspector posted in Economic Offences Wing, Mumbai for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000/- from the complainant.
A case was registered against the Sub Inspector, CBI, Economic Offences Wing, Mumbai U/s 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on the allegation that he had demanded a bribe amount of Rs.20,000/- in a criminal case pertaining to CBI, EOW, Mumbai for not naming a person as accused. CBI laid a trap and the Sub Inspector was caught red handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000/-from the complainant. Search was conducted at the residential premises of accused at Mumbai.
