IMPHAL, Oct 2 NNN: The All Manipur Christian Organisation (AMCO) has held its general body meeting at Hotel Imphal here today. The meeting was attended by most Christian denominational leaders of Manipur.
AMCO President, Rev. S. Prim Vaiphei stated that the meeting was marked by worship and praising the Lord led by Believers Church staffs with solos presented by Chungneikip and Premjeet Meetei and Devotionalmessages delivered by Rev. Dr. Hawlngam Haokip.
Rev. Dr. Lalpi Vaiphei and Rev. Timothy Phaomei were the moderators of the worship and business sessions respectively.
Installation/dedication prayer with words of encouragement was also offered by Rev. Dr. Wungnaoting Konghar, General Secretary of Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC).
During the meeting, new office bearers of the organisation for a term of 3 years were also announced.
Accordingly, Rev. S. Prim Vaiphei and Rev. Dr. N. Nipamacha were re-elected as President and Vice-President respectively while Fr. Ts. Dominic, Chancellor, arch-diocese of Imphal, Ng. Lydia, DSSS Office, Mantripukhri, Rev. Simon Raomei, Pastor MBC CC and Pastor Phungmi Mawon, United Baptist Church, Tarung were elected as General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Information Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
