Medical team of 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) saved the life of a 30 years old young man on 14 Oct 12.The victim, Shri Ibocha Singh, r/o Shamurou, district – Imphal (West) bitten by a venomous snake was brought to the Unit MI Room at Singjamei in a critical condition and was immediately attended by Medical officer who administered life saving anti snake venom and his condition was stabled. Later he was evacuated to RIMS Hospital, Imphal for further management. The timely action taken by the medical team of Assam Rifles saved the precious life of the victim.
In another occasiion,6 DOGRA of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) organised a medical camp at Khenjoi on 14 Oct 12. More than 125 villagers including 55 School children were examined and provided medicines.
