GUWAHATI, Sept 30 NNN: Amidst piling allegations of Assam’s forest minister Rockybul Hussain protecting Bangladeshis in the state, chief minister Tarun Gogoi said today that no ministers will be spared if anyone of them in his government is harbouring foreigners. Tarun Gogoi also said that he will go to the extent of dropping his ministers if they are found protecting or sheltering illegal immigrants in the state. He then dismissed accusations from various quarters that his government was patronising settlement of illegal migrants in Kaziranga National Park (KNP).
It can be mentioned here that political parties such as AGP and others have been accusing forest minister Rockybul Hussain of encouraging the settlement of Bangladeshis on 376 sq km added last to increase Kaziranga’s area to 860 sq km.
