A team of Thoubal district commandos has arrested two cadres of KYKL during a search operation conducted at Thoubal Haokha on November 2 at around 2.20 pm, police said.
The arrested militant cadres have been identified as Gurumayum Gopendro Sharma of Khongman Mangjing Mamang Leikai in Imphal East district and Meisnam Sunder @ Sunderbala @ Jiban Singh (43) s/o M. Babu Singh of Nambol Thongkha, Bishnupur district, the police added.
One Suzuki Access 125 scooter bearing registration number MN-06SA/4837, two mobile phone hand sets and two Airtel sim cards were recovered from the apprehendees. On interrogation, the two revealed that they are the active workers of KYKL working in the finance section of the organization under the command of the outfit’s district finance chief, Kumar of Sagolband Tera and have extorted huge amount of money from shop keepers of Thangal Bazar and other businessmen for the outfit,the police stated.
On 02 Nov 2012, Security Forces of Red Shield Division , Kumbi Police Commandos launched an operation at Wangoo Sabal area and apprehended a woman cadre of RPF/PLA group namely Sagolsem Bidyarani . She revealed that she was in-charge of Bishnupur District Women Wing, PLA and involved in recruitment of lady cadres, cordinat of extortion money and arms.

MNS : A poster campaign demanding introduction of ILP in Manipur organized by MPP was held today at Bishnupur and Oinam. S. Umananda president MPP, O. Joy ex-MLA, M. Maniton president youth front and leaders of woman front MPP were present.
O. Joy said that MPP demanded introduction of ILP in Manpur. The union govt. should implement the ILP in Manipur. The constitution of India, if necessary, should be amended regarding the implementation of ILP in Manipur. It can safe the indigenous people of Manipur.
MPP strongly condemned the statement of union home minister Shusil Kumar Shinde regarding the ILP. His statement taunts Manipuris. He should respect the decision of Manipur assembly. Such campaign will continue at other districts of Manipur.

IMPHAL, Nov 3 NNN: A member of CPI (Marxist-Lenin), NE In-charge was denied permission to meet Irom Chanu Sharmila, who has completed 12 years of her fast on the demand of withdrawal of Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958 .
Shankar Das of CPI-ML, who had visited the State to show solidarity to Sharmila in her struggle and to review current state of affairs in Manipur including the issue of Inner Line Permit (ILP) as well as the political scenario, was upset when he was prevented from meeting the hunger striker by the State Home Department.
Das addressed a press conference at the Manipur CPI-ML office here during which he expressed regret over the denial of permission to him by the authority to meet Sharmila.
He alleged that Chief Secretary Poonia had refused the permission by terming his party as an ‘anti-national party.’ He described the act of the CS as unfortunate and condemned it. State Government should take action against him.
In the 40-year long history of CPI-ML, no political has ever called the party an anti-national party, Das asserted adding he was quite amazed to learn such remarks from the Chief Secretary of the Congress-rule State.
Das, flanked by Shyamsundar, Manipur State CPI-ML Secretary and other leaders further attacked the Congress-rule states saying they are all highly corrupted. Huge amount of money from India has been stashed abroad and the money is now investing in various foreign companies, Das accused, calling the Congress an anti-national party.
He said the party will launch agitation against AFSPA in 19 States from the current month.
