IMPHAL, Nov 4 NNN: The award of the best mind in the first Manipur state level “Mind Food Contest -2012″ has been conferred on Kanthoujam Niwin Singh of Canchipur’s Temple of Learning, and the same school received the best mind school of the year.
Prize distribution function of the contest held at the Centenary Hall of Manipur University Campus, Canchipur, Imphal west has been carried out today. It has earlier been organized by the Rural Education Network, Heirok, Thoubal District at Dhamanjuri College of Commerce, Imphal on September 23 last.
The formats of the contest consists of objective type questions and fill in the blanks from the book, (Mind Food Volume – I) which has been issued to all the contestants for preparation few months back prior to the contest. The book includes famous quotes of renowned persons including GK Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda, etc.
Giving the keynote address, Laishram Biren, Secretary of Rural Education Network, Heirok said about the book that it contains knowledge and concepts that can evoke inspiration, motivation and other impacts which can rectify the mind of a person.
He further said that the book is required for daily survival and for good moral conduct and positive thinking.
Meanwhile at Shillong a four day Border Co-ordination meeting between the Inspector Generals’ Border Security Force (BSF) and Deputy Director General, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will be held at Sylhet, Bangladesh from November 5 to November 8.
The BSF delegation will be led by IG, BSF Meghalaya Ftr, Sudesh Kumar, alongwith IG BSF Guwahati Ftr, IG BSF Silchar Ftr and IG BSF Tripura Ftr and Sector DIsG of Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura and Mizoram and Cachar Frontiers, Staffs officer from BSF New Delhi, representative of NCB and Ministry of Home Affairs. The delegation will be proceeding to Sylhet, Bangladesh from Shillong on November 5 via ICP Dawki.
