Imphal, Nov 17 : RTI to seek information about Manipur Aids Control Society (M.A.C.S) was filed by K Seityajit. It was asked to give details of staffs , salaries.
Some of the questions asked were, How many Drug De-Addiction Centres are there in Manipur established b the NGOs to rehabilitate the Drug Addict individuals. Are the Medical Experts associated with those Centers permitted by the Health Services, Govt. of Manipur How many addict inmates had died while in the centers.
And how many had die before they reach their homes in escaping from the Center due to their negligence For such deaths, are the govt. and the Centers not deemed necessary to pay the ex gratia to the bereaved families.
Details about works taken up by MACS in the health sector, observance of ‘World Health Day’ , ‘World Aids Day’ , list of the De-Drug Addiction centers , list of beneficiaries were also asked.
