IMPHAL, November 17: The women footballers of the state, who have bagged the runner up prize at the Jharkhand National Games, today donated rupees fifty thousand to All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) and rupees forty thousand each to their coaches and managers at a simple function held at the residence AMFA secretary L Ranjit Roy.
The total donated amount is Rs 1.70 lakh.
Speaking with media persons, senior player Ronibala said, today’s function is being held to show their respect and to honour their teachers as well as the association members.
They have donated the money by contributing from their prize money. It would have been even better if they had bagged the first prize, she added.
The function was attended by high ranking officials of AMFA and coaches.
