SENAPATI, Nov 18 NNN: The civil organisations based in Senapati district have inspected the ongoing repairing works along the National Highway 2 from the Manipur-Nagaland border at Mao Gate to Senapati district headquarters on Saturday and witnessed that considerable progress has been done.
Three days after inspection and assurance made by the Manipur Works minister Kh. Ratan to resume repairing works along the National Highway-2 between Mao Gate in the Manipur-Nagaland border and Senapati district headquarters in view of the ASEAN Car rally, a joint team of civil organizations including Naga Peoples Organisation (NPO), Senapati District Students Assopciation (SDSA) and Mao Council conducted a surprise inspection of the ongoing works.

While extending its endorsement and co-operation to the works, they also appealed to the public to extend their maximum support and co-operations to the department, contractors, laborers and protection of the machinery along the highway. The three bodies have also asked any organization or agency not to interfere or disturb the ongoing works which can jeopardize the whole project and further delay the successful implementation of a developed NH-2.
