Cadets of Sainik School Imphal brought laurels to school by emerging Champion in Bournvita Quiz Contest for Imphal City organized by Derek O’ Brien & associates on behalf of Cadbury at Lamyanba Pakhang Palace Compound, Imphal East on 12 Nov 2012. Out of 27 schools from the State, Sainik School Imphal Team represented by Cdt Boris Sougrakpam of Class VII and Cdt Lourembam Max of Class VII stood first and won gold medals, certificates and a City Winner’s Banner.
At 2nd National Level Exhibition & Project Competitions of INSPIRE Awardees of innovation in Science Pursuit for inspired Research organized under the aegis of Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India at New Delhi from 21 to 23 October 2012, Cdt Miranda Thoudam was adjudged second for the North East Region. She has become one of the 15 exhibitors selected from different Regions of the country to visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan on 07 March 2013. She participated in the completion after qualifying District and State Levels competitions.
Also, Cdt Parikshit Thoudam of Class XII has been selected by JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exhange for Students and Youth) for its first batch of visit to Japan from 18 Nov to 25 Nov 2012. The Cadet’s essay on the theme “Role of Society and Govt for Conservation of Environment” is also selected as one of the best 17 in the country for the innovation Challenge 2012 organised by IIMT and Oxford Brokes University.
