IMPHAL, January 2: A water supply scheme and a multipurpose community hall were inaugurated during a simple function today at Phouden under Thoubal district .
The function was attended by Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Md Abdul Nashir, Parliamentary Secretary (IPR&MI) K Meghachandra Singh and Parliamentary Secretary (MOBC & Science and Technology) Md Amin Shah as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
According to a DIPR release, the water supply scheme was constructed at the cost of around Rs 61.21 lakh, the reservoir has a capacity of gallon 23,000 and the scheme was taken up under the Multi Sectoral Development Programme and will provide drinking water to 4096 people in and around Phoden area.
The multipurpose hall was constructed at the cost of around Rs 25 lakh, it added.
