New Delhi, Jan 7: Manipuri Diaspora Association, Delhi, a secular and non-profit organization of Manipuris settled in Delhi and its surrounding areas celebrated the foundation day on 06.01.2013 ( Sunday) in a grand fashion at Dwarka, Delhi.
Sh. Mangibabu, Hon’ble MLA, Thanga Constituency & Vice President,MPCC, graced the grand occasion as the Chief Guest and Sh. R.K.Falguni, IAS, Ex-Secy (DoNER) as Guests of Honour . The function was also attended by various other special invitees and dignitaries.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Sh.Mangibabu expressed his happiness regarding the efforts made by Manipuri Diaspora Association, Delhi to bring social harmony and bond of love and unity among the various communities residing in the National Capital. Sh. Falguni in his speech, also opined that the need of the hour is to have a shelter for all common people coming from the region for various purposes as the existing Manipuri Bhawan cannot accommodate all.
The function ended with a grand lunch in Manipuri cuishine.
