Imphal, Jan 12: Some AR personnel searched for youths of Heirok Part-II Maning Leikai who were supposed to take part in surrender drama yesterday.
Naga Regiment personnel they entered the house of one Moirangthem Oken (25) who was among the seven persons and asked if he knew the house of Sagolsem ongbi Purnima Devi (38) who arranged the surrender drama. Six youths who were in 42nd AR camp, Chandel left their residence on hearing the news of the arrival of Naga Regiment.
Meeting the media at Manipur Press Club a representative of peoples organization for civil integrity and liberty a constituent body of 21 clubs said, yesterday around 1.50 p.m. VK Daman, deputy CO of Naga Regiment accompanied by personnel coming in two Gypsies, one 407 mini tata came there and met M. Oken, one of seven youths. Heirok populace had stopped entry of militants since 2008. It was unfortunate that the IGAR South had described the fleeing of the seven youths from the 42 AR post as instigation by underground elements, he said.
