Imphal Jan 13 MNS UNA : The alternative arrangement demands of the Naga in Manipur have nothing to do with the communities of Zeliangrong in the state Amu Kamei, President Zaliangrong Union (ZU) Assam, Manipur and Nagaland said on Sunday.
Amu Kamei was speaking to the media person in a press meet at its office of Zeliangrong Union at Kakhulong after a meeting of Zaliangrong region representative of the state.
The ZU (AMN) was also asked by a representative of alternative arrangement that, what will be state of Zeliangrong people residing in the valley and the stand is clear that the Zeliangrong people will never shift to Nagaland as “we are here from since time immemorial” added Amu Kamei.
Clarifying over a news item publish in some local paper of the state that the Zeliangrong Union took a resolution to go with the decision of alternative arrangement was baseless as they did not take any resolution in the meeting held on 11 of this month.
And the public should know that ZU is not under any UG group nor will go according to their wishes said Amu Kamei.
In today’s meeting of the Zeliangrong Union meeting they took a resolution that the Gaan Ngai festival falls on January 24 but not January 25 according to the government calendar so the Union will pursue to change the date.
In the meantime a press release of Kabui Samiti signed by its general secretary P G Makuningtou Kabui said that we the Kabui are residing in the valley will peace and harmony with others in Manipur since time immemorial. We are not and will not involve in the Naga issue and the Kabui communities should be aware of wrong propaganda added the release.
