Imphal Jan 17 MNS UNA : Union Home Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde assured the all political parties that the Central Government will help the state in arresting NSCN (IM) Lt. Col Livingstone Anal. The delegation of all political party of the state met Union Home Minister today noon at 1 pm at his office chamber. Shinde, asked the delegation to give information about where about of Livingstone Anal so that he can be arrested said a source from Delhi.

In the meeting the delegation of political party of Manipur also demanded to amend the Indian constitution Article 3 to save guard the territorial integrity of the state and for the whole NE region, replying to this Shinde said it’s a difficult thing to put up in the Parliament but assured to try in his best level. When the delegation put up about the re-introduction of Inner Line Permit (ILP) system in the state the Home Minister said that it is against the constitution but a senior leader of BJP Manipur Pradesh, Y. Tiken said that there is no problem as it is the right of the indigenous people of the state and the government of India had also promised to safe guard the indigenous people when they signed in the merger agreement added the source.
Thangso Baite MO on Thursday rule out resolving the vexed Naga political issue before the elections to the Nagaland state Assembly. “I believe there will be no development in the Centre-NSCN (IM) peace talk until the elections to the Nagaland state Assembly are over,” the MP representing the outer Manipur Lok Sabha constituency on the sideline of the opening function of the Biennial Conference Cum Gospel Olympic being slated at L Chingphai village of Ukhrul district today, in which he attended as chief guest of the opening function.
He said that as Model Code of Conduct for elections have already been in force in Nagaland, offering something to the NSCN(IM) to resolve the 15-year old peace dialogue would tantamount to violate the model code of conduct.
“To safeguard the territorial integrity of Manipur is the utmost duty of every citizen of the state. The good message of our Jesus Christ should be used as message of peace and harmony among the different communities living in the state,’ he said urging the gathering to work for the strengthening the territorial integrity of the state.
