Goc Addresing Lompi Gonlop Festival
Maj Gen KK Sinha,SM, GOC, Red Shield Division graced the Lompi Gonlop 2013 Celebrations at LielonVaiphai Village as its Chief Guest. The celebrations that had begun on 12 January included cultural games, dances, songs and various competitions. Speaking from his heart, during the function, the GOC adopted the village and announced a number of initiatives for the people of the village. The General announced extension of the Playground, and organizing Nursing Classes for the girls of the village.
The GOC appreciated the children who came forward in a large number to register for Staff Service Commission (SSC). He appreciated the girls, who for the first time from the village, registered in a large number. He informed that the successful girls in the SSC selection, will subsequently join CISF, BSF, CRPF, SSB and Assam Rifles and will do proud for the state and the nation. This will also bring peace and prosperity to the village.
The event was also attended by Brig SK Sharma, Commander of the Senapati Brigade.
