: In continuation of the long pending demands for conceding demands of the tribal peoples of Manipur, the All Tribal Students’ Union, Manipur (ATSUM) in its emergency meeting has unanimously resolved to intensify the agitation from the midnight of February 3.
However, ATSUM did not disclose the nature of agitation.
All national projects being undertaken by the Central government in the tribal inhabited areas in Manipur state will be closed down for an indefinite period of time, ATSUM threatened.
The ATSUM reiterates its stance that until the legitimate rights of the tribal of Manipur are fulfilled, the union will leave no stone unturned to achieve the rightful demands.Further, the union appeals to all the tribal associations, frontal organizations and all the federating units of ATSUM to extend maximum cooperation during the course of the agitation.
