Imphal, Jan 30 : The two days Youth Exhibition (Yuva Kriti) organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Imphal at DRDA Hall,Imphal West D.C.Office Complex,Lamphelpat was inaugurated by Prof. N. Mohendro Singh, Former Member, Steering Committee, NE Vision 2020 and Dr. Kh. Somorendro Singh Director,ICM Imphal on the 30th January,2013. 30 stalls for handlooms,handicrafts and food items were being exhibited in the Yuva Kriti. . Jackie Ruivah, Zonal Director, NYKS presided over the inaugural function. In his key note address Y. Laksman Singh, Dist. Youth Co-ordinator NYK Imphal pointed out the guidelines of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangthan. The main objective of the programme was to provide opportunity to the talented youths to showcase their traditional skills such as traditional arts, crafts, handlooms, handicrafts and food items prepared and produced by the youth Clubs,SHGs and the young artisans.
In his address to the youths Dr. Kh. Somorendro Singh Director ICM, Imphal announced that the Yuva Kriti organised by NYK Imphal is a success. Prof. N. Mohendro Singh, advised the young artisans to develop skills and the personality so that they will be answerable about their products. Production and learning go together. As such the exhibitors should be customer friendly. Mrs.Jackie Ruivah, Zonal Director, NYKS appreciated the efforts made by NYK Imphal for organising the Yuva Kriti in a befitting manner.
