Participants of NIT at Somsai
MNS:- A National Integration Tour (NIT) from Chassad/Kamjong to Hyderabad was organised by 44 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) from 14 Jan 2013 to 31 January 2013. This tour, comprising of 21 school children and 3 teachers hailing from diversified background of Kamjong Sub Division, Ukhrul District of Manipur, was Flagged In by Brig A K Pandey, VSM, Commander 10 Sector Assam Rifles at Somsai on 31 January 2013. During the Flagging In ceremony, the Commander interacted with participants of the NIT.
The Chassad/Kamjong to Hyderabad NIT was an endeavor by Assam Rifles to wean away the youth from taking the path of militancy and make the people realise importance of peace for overall development of the area which will further lead to prosperity and better opportunities for the people of this region.
