MNS:- The Additional Judge for CBI cases, Visakhaptnam(Andhra Pradesh) has convicted Sri Mynam Sreenivasa Rao @ M.S.Rao then Constable, CISF Unit, VSSC Thumba, ISRO Post, Thiruvananthapuram(Kerala) and two private persons Amaripalli Appala Naidu resident of Yellamanchili, Visakhapatnam Dist. & his wife Amaripalli Umamaheswari for issuing fake appointment letters for the post of ASI(clerk) in CISF. Sh. M.S. Rao then Constable was sentenced to undergo seven years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 2,000/- while his sister smt. Amaripalli Umamaheswari and her husband Sh. Amaripalli Appala Naidu were sentenced to undergo six months Rigorous Imprisonment with total fine of Rs. 5,000/- each.
The brief allegations of the case were that Sri M. Srinivasa Rao @ M.S. Rao Constable, CISF Unit, VSSC, Thumba (Kerala) in connivance with A.Appala Naidu and Smt.Uma Maheswari abused his official position and accepted illegal gratification ranging from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs.80,000/- from 30 unemployed candidates in & around Yelamanchili of Visakhapatnam District making them to believe that they would be appointed as ASI(Clerk) in CISF. In furtherance of the said conspiracy, Sri M.S.Rao issued fake appointment letters & forged letters of intimation of training to these candidates. After conducting the regular trial, the Court found the accused persons guilty and convicted them.
